The month of May is............the smell of freshly cut grass,,,,,,,,,,cinco de mayo,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,rain,,,,,,,,,,,mothers day,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,baseball,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and to top off the month,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,The greatest spectacle in the world...............The running of the Indianapolis 500......................This year will be the 91st race there..............Thanks to a great guy who for the past few years has made it possible for me and a friend to experience this race from very good seats............We were there when Danica led the race for many laps,,,,,,,with the crowd pumping their fists in the air as she zipped by us.........Dan Wheldon won that race...................Last year we watched American born and local resident of Defiance Ohio (30 miles from hometown) Sam Hornish Jr, come from way down (2 laps) to secure the victory with a heart stopper finish over rookie sensation Marco Andretti........... Both previous years have been hotter than a stick at the track,,,,,,,,,and we are hoping for a little cooler weather this year..............I have secured parking directly behind the track and know better to get there very early in the morn with plenty of cold drinks............. Racing activity began this week....................There is a tribute to A J FOYT
