Got this post from a good friend of mine who now is retired and living in Virginia......He is on the road travelling like usual with his dear wife.........

The long drive across Montana was interesting but after a while "Enough Already." The reason we took this route to Glacier National Park was to stop at a Sioux Indian reservation to see a Powwow. We were not disappointed. Unfortunately the main events take place tonight and we could not hang around. What we did see was informative and well done. Naturally the costumes are all beautiful but I did not ask about authenticity. A lot of ritual that left us in the dark. Some things were of religious nature and everyone stood quietly. The American flag led the entrance parade. A special tribute to the warriors took place and three young men who were obviously Iraq vets stood nearby.
We pulled into a nice full service place for the night. Time to charge up some batteries and Joan needs a hair drier and curling iron to finish her hair. Supplied electricity makes life a bit more comfortable. A whole week and I have not even tried the TV. I may be sorry but I have not taken the video camera out of my bag. Joan was sorry for not taking it for the Indian dances
Tonight Joan was especially nice with dinner. I had pork chops, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans from her garden, she made Applesauce (no cinnamon). We finished off with ice-cream and coffee. What did I do to get this treatment?
Tomorrow it is into Glacier National Park for a couple of days. I believe Mom is looking at a side trip to Idaho.
