I came across this pic of Red Auerbach and Larry Bird and just knew I had to share it with you.......Larry was a fave of my whole family, and we all followed his career out of Indiana State.........You should read his book, he goes into great detail how he was heavily recruited by Indiana , only to be homesick and disappointed in the coaching staff there, mostly Bob Knight........He decides to go to State instead......Good read........The Celtics of Boston are back to their winning ways, which is just fine with me........

those were the best days in the 80's with bird, mchale, the chief....when i got here in 1990 bird was mostly run down with back problems. i loved the lakers back then too when Kareem was still dominating the league.
