A few years back I went to Indiana for a Titans at Colts football game and had to leave New Haven very early in the morning due to a 3-4" overnight snow..........My folks were perplexed at the time, not coming to grips that I HAD TO LEAVE!!!!! I just had to stop by the old homestead on Henry Street to get a picture of her in her white majesty...............Just the thought of younger years, coming down the street many, many times wet and cold and seeing her and her warmth that layed inside............and the love that was there........
I do not miss the snow, I can vacation into the great white north anytime, I choose to wait until the warmth and sounds of racing cars that draw my head to the north.....................

Oh, but I do miss the party line phones......
We had a party line when we lived in Richmond. There was one teenaged girl we'd listen in on all the time (well, at least I did!)
My mom used to get after us kids cause there was a young woman who lived on our street who talked dirty on the party line........and we always had to keep an eye on Doug when he had the phone to his ear...........hahaheeheeee
