Here it is! Record Store Day weekend is upon us. I'm going to keep things on point and focused on the day. The lineup of live performances is listed again below for good measure. We've got a couple of special guests on tap as well. It's going to be an incredible day for sure. I hope you can make it and, if you're outside Nashville and receiving this, that you'll find your nearest independent record store and show them some love.
Due to the insane activity for Record Store Day, we will not be able to do trades and buys on Saturday. Thanks for understanding.
Unfortunately some of the cool vinyl pieces promised for Record Store Day are getting bumped to a later release date. It's inevitable dealing with vinyl and we're used to it but just so you know the Wilco vinyl reissues of their first 3 albums and the New Order 7" won't be here Saturday. Wilco has been moved to May and we'll find out about New Order soon. We WILL have the Wilco DVD however! It will be screening in the Basement throughout the afternoon on Saturday and, if you buy it here (or any indie store), you'll also be able to access a download of one of the complete shows featured on the DVD. Most of the other exclusive releases have started arriving. Check here for another list of what's coming out!
Speaking of Wilco, you can win a FREE PAIR OF TICKETS to the Wilco "Ashes Of American Flags" film during the Nashville Film Festival. The screening is Friday night, April 17, at 8:45pm at the Green Hills Cinema Theatre #5. We have several pair to give away.
