I am sitting here Monday morning after the Chargers, Patriots, Giants, and Packers have all punched their ticket for this weeks conference championship games, to be held at New England and at Green Bay.............thinking................
The winner goes to Arizona for the XLII Super Bowl....................huh................
Why does the winning teams have to travel to get to a distant state to play the BIG game?????
The games are favorably played in warmer climates, sure we get the rare Detroit (indoor) game..........But lets be fair here.............These games are for the faithful fans and should be played at home....................Yeah, lets rock the boat.....................
MLB has the system where as the winner of the All-Star game gets home field advantage in the World Series, so lets make the winner of the NFL Pro Bowl, be it AFC or NFC get the right to host the SUPER BOWL..............The following year of course.....................
Lets think for one minute................Would it not be great for San Diego, Foxborough, East Rutherford, or Green Bay the opportunity to host THE GREATEST sporting game in the world??????
The league and its owners owe it to the fans who have been coming out year in and year out knowing that IF their team did make it to the SB, they would have to spend hundreds if not thousands more to travel at scalpers prices to watch THEIR team play the big game............IF they could even get tickets.................

I SO agree, and not because I'd be at the game.
It's all because of money lining someone's pocket, without regard for the football fans, really.
And while we're at it, I really dislike the college bowl game locales, too.
I am all in favor of a playoff scenario for college ball.........similar to the big dance in March..........64 teams....
Regular season is stopped at ten games......no conference championships..........
would hold the excitement longer........which equals more money for all.........
